The production worksheet
The production worksheet is a multi-page PDF that tells you (or whoever runs the job) everything needed to sew a design correctly. Export it from File → Export Worksheet (PDF)…
Page 1 — the worksheet
Section titled “Page 1 — the worksheet”The first page summarises the design:
- Dimensions of the design.
- Total stitch count and colour-change count.
- Estimated thread length (in metres) and estimated run time.
- An ordered colour-sequence table — each thread change in sewing order, with the brand, code and name, a colour swatch, and the per-colour stitch count and thread length.
- A scaled vector preview of the design.
The colour order on the worksheet is taken from the same sequence used to export the machine file, so the sheet never disagrees with what the machine actually sews. See Colour sequence & sorting.
How the estimates are worked out
Section titled “How the estimates are worked out”- Thread length is the total length of the sewn stitches (given in metres, and broken down per colour in the table). Jump/travel moves don’t count toward it.
- Run time is an estimate based on an assumed machine speed of 700 stitches per minute, plus a small overhead of about 8 seconds per colour change. It’s a guide, not a guarantee — your actual machine speed and handling time will vary.
Pages 2+ — the 1:1 template
Section titled “Pages 2+ — the 1:1 template”The remaining pages print the design and hoop outline at true (1:1) scale, tiled across A4 pages with crop marks so you can tape the sheets together. Use the full-size template to position the design and line up your hooping before you sew.
A generated worksheet — size, stitch count, thread length and run time at the top, the colour sequence with per-colour stitch counts below, and a preview of the design.
